Colorado Springs' 'underdog' Glenn gets $800k in PAC support

A new television ad from a national political action committee portraying Darryl Glenn as a competent and electable underdog in the Colorado Senate race began airing across the state Monday and will appear for the next 10 days.

Restoration PAC will spend $800,000 on the 30-second ads.

"Darryl Glenn is just the kind of leader America needs right now in our time of great uncertainty, division and decline," Doug Truax, head of the PAC, said in a statement announcing the buy on Monday.

Truax said the PAC is nonpartisan and "favors helping underfunded but otherwise strong candidates as a way to break the back of insider politics."
